Cher Horo-Spritz Cocktail
A modern retelling of Jane Austen’s Emma, Clueless is a misnomer for a movie that’s more whip-smart than it gets credit for; its nimble dialogue, manna for our GIF-driven times. That this tale of spoiled, self-obsessed teens in ‘90s Beverly Hills came from the brain of cynical Bronx-born director Amy Heckerling (who also gave us Fast Times) makes it that much more of a marvel. For Cher, Alyson Iwamoto of L.A.’s Here’s Looking at You made an elevated take on a wine cooler that mimics a California sunset.
makes 1 cocktail
- 1 ½ oz Lillet Blanc
- ½ oz Giffard Pamplemousse
- ½ oz Dimmi or St. Germain
- 1 oz club soda or seltzer
- 1 oz Lambrusco, preferably a dry and fruity variety
- fresh hibiscus flower or other exotic flower for garnish

Shake Lillet Blanc, Giffard Pamplemousse, and Dimmi (or St. Germain) in a shaker with ice until well-combined and chilled. Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice. Top with soda then carefully layer Lambrusco on top. Garnish with flower.
