The Lunar Tidepool by Sam Anderson, beverage director at Mission Chinese, whose fantasy lies in its inventive flavors, and L.A. bartender Gabriella Mlynarczyk’s halo halo-inspired take on a Mai Tai, are an invitation to do just that.

- 1¼ oz Forthave “Blue” gin
- ¾ oz Uccelli Blue bitter aperitivo
- ¾ oz Giffard Crème de Fruits de la Passion
- a piece of Isonoyuki (optional garnish; a seaweed found at Japanese specialty stores)

Stir together all ingredients, then pour over a large rock in a rocks glass. Garnish with large fan of Isonoyuki.
