It seems fitting that Ace Hotel chain’s first on-site juice shop would be in their spiffy downtown L.A. location; after all, if there was a city that could be credited with birthing the juice trend, it’s L.A. And if there could be a woman cited with continuing to spread the good word about juicing and its benefits, it’s Amanda Chantal Bacon, the founder of Moon Juice. The latest location of her quickly expanding healthful empire is a kiosk in the original ticket stand of the Theatre at Ace Hotel DTLA. In the years since opening her first Moon Juice café (Ace is her third), the brand’s offerings have expanded exponentially beyond just juice to include an array of sweet and savory raw snacks, wellness tonics and dusts and sprouted nut and seed milks. And Ace Hotel guests really reap the benefits of this newest Moon Juice address as they will be able to not only pre-book customized juice cleanse programs to coincide with their stay, but also order from the menu offerings as part of room service. So that means breakfast in bed can consist of sprouted granola with bee pollen, sesame and vanilla and fermented and tangy coconut yogurt, and a nightcap can consist of shared glugs of libido-boosting Heart Tonic.
